"So we've been very focused on funding that research, but we've also been working with politicians and actually getting them to step up."This relentless pursuit of funding and advocacy has been a driving force behind the foundation's success. Fiscus notes that the organization's presence at the Dublin Irish Festival, the first festival it has ever attended, has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from the community."So many people came up, they didn't know about it, got excited about it," Fiscus says. "I think their event in Columbus here is going to see a big jump next year."
